Introductory Meeting
Choosing a therapist to work with can be a daunting process and expensive if you want to meet more than one to find a good fit. I offer a low cost introductory meeting to make that process financially easier as I feel that it is important that you find a therapist who you feel resonant with.
My intention in offering an introductory meeting is to give you the opportunity to find out whatever you need to find out to make a decision about whether you would like to work with me. It gives us time for you to tell me about what you are needing support with, your reasons for seeking therapy, to ask any questions you may have, to get a sense of how we might work together and to address any concerns. It also gives you some time to get a sense of me as a person. It's important that you feel some kind of resonance, or ease, with whoever you choose to work with.
Fees
All sessions last 60 minutes
Introductory meeting for individuals: £25
Individual therapy: £65 per session
Concessions: I understand that we are all in different situations, including different financial circumstances. It is important to me to be able to offer my service to those who cannot afford my full fee. I myself have had to rely on concessionary rate therapy in the past. For this reason I offer a limited number of concessionary places. If you are in need of a concessionary fee please do let me know when you contact me and I will be happy to discuss this during an introductory meeting.
Introductory meeting for couples: £40
Couples Therapy or Tango Couples Therapy: £85 per session
Online Therapy
I am currently only offering online therapy (except for Tango Couples Therapy). For online couples therapy you will need to be together in the same room.
There are a few potential advantages to working with a therapist online, as opposed to in-person. Choosing a therapist who feels like a good fit is really important. If you are open to online therapy you will have more options for choosing a therapist and it may mean you can work with someone you'd really like to work with even if they live too far away. Online therapy saves travel time and can mean you have more time to prepare before a session and more time to digest and reflect on the process afterwards. Also, you may appreciate the ease and comfort of having sessions in your home and being in your home when the session ends. You will need a space for online sessions which feels sufficiently private and safe. This may be difficult to find for some people. If this is a concern we can discuss this in an introductory meeting. I began offering online therapy as part of my practice several years before the COVID pandemic started and my primary therapeutic approach - Internal Family Systems - is especially well suited to working online. Perhaps counter-intuitively, those clients who have experienced both online and in-person therapy with me almost always report that working online feels as effective as working in-person. Of course, despite the potential advantages I've referred to, you may feel that it is really important to be in the same room as your therapist. Online therapy isn't the best option for everyone. But if you are interested in working with me and have doubts about working online, I am happy to explore them with you in an introductory meeting.
Location
My private practice (only for Tango Couples Therapy) is in Eastville, Bristol . There is free parking outside the property. It is easily accessible by bus and close to Junction 2 of the M32, making it easily accessible by car from outside the city.
